Preparation for the interview

Finding a job is very difficult nowadays especially for the fresh candidates. Most of the companies look for people with experience in the respective field. It is good to do little preparation for the interview. Just imagine what are the questions going to be asked or how to give the right answer for that.

The first question during an interview may be always an ice- breaker. The candidate should be ready with an answer. The interviewer then prepares for the next questions. Many times, the answer of this question decide whether to carry on the interview process or not. So it is a good suggestion to do proper homework before going for an interview.

Consider the following points while answering this question

1. You:

Remember that never give the name using “myself“ instead of “I am”.

A very common mistake is that many time people give the introduction using “myself” like “myself Ram” instead of “I am Ram”. This is not acceptable especially in call center jobs.

After telling the name, give a small narration of family and whereabouts. Plus what brought you to this particular city.

2. Education:

Tell the highest education qualification received and specially mention if there is any education different qualification than others. If the candidate is a fresher, telling the grades, it definitely adds value to the interview.

3. Experience:

If the candidate have experience explain from the early years then come to the present job unless not having a long experience. A fresher can talk about the projects he/she is handling.

4. Experience regarding to the post applied for:

Many times the success or failure of the interview depends on this answer. If there is any experience regarding this, explain that. If not, tell about the related experience. If not all related to this job earlier, say it clearly but how the positive attitude and willingness to do the job.

5. There is no need to express anything related the salary unless clearly asked.

6. Value the interviewer’s time by giving specific answers only.

7.  Remember that the ideal answer should not last more than 1 minute.
