The candidate should of minimum age of 21 to a maximum of 30 years. You should be a graduate in agriculture, veterinary, fisheries, dairy Horticulture etc and preferable Post Graduate holders with Marketing Specializations or Post Graduate diploma in Rural Development Management.

  • Graduation should be from a university recognized by Government of India; Technical Qualification (BTech, MBA etc) should be from an institution recognized by AICTE/UGC.
  • All the courses should be Full Time course only. Short duration course will not be accepted.
  • The candidates should have completed their courses before the submission of the application.
  • The candidates should have good knowledge of Computer and working knowledge of computer applications.
  • The candidates should have First Class – 60% aggregate marks and there is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates

How to apply for the position of Agriculture Officer?

To apply for this position you should submit your application online, before submitting the application online you should pay the application fee through Indian Banking sector’s nationalized Bank branches. The challan for the deposit will be available in the Banks. The fees structure is as mentioned below:

The application fee is a non-refundable fee and also cannot be considered as an advance payment for future examination or selection process. You should have a valid email id which is in active status before applying online. You should apply only through online; any other form of application will not be entertained.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on written examination; candidates who clear the written examination will be invited for an interview. The examination consists of Objective and Descriptive questions.

There will be negative marks for incorrect answers in Objective test.

Descriptive Paper consists of 5 questions on Socio-Economic environment out which 4 questions should be answered. The exam duration is one hour. Candidates have to pass in both Objective and Descriptive tests separately. Once the application is processed the candidate will receive call letter with the details of the date and venue of the written test.

Note: In Objective type question, attempt only those questions you are sure about the answer. Never do any guess work as it has negative marks and this may lead to reduce your score. In descriptive test, do write the examination in a neat and legible handwriting. The answers should be with an introduction and good finishing in within the given word limit. Try to present the information in points, in brief and well presented. As the examination is for a fixed duration only and extra time will not be given so do practice to attempt the examination within the stipulated hours. Attempt easy questions first and later on the hard ones, this will give you a good time management during the examination.

Pay Package

The Agriculture Officer gets a Fixed Compensation Package of 2.50 Lakhs PA and Variable compensation package of 0.50 Lakhs PA.

An amount Rs 1,500 will be paid monthly as Fixed Tour Package, this is only applicable if the officer do field visits for 25days in a month. If the number of days is less than 25 days, the amount will be paid on a pro-rata base. The officer has to do a minimum of 10day field visit in a month. The visit should be more that 4 hours in a day and should be outside the Revenue Village where the bank branch is situated.

The Officer should possess a valid driving license / learner’s driving license at the time of joining. The officer is eligible for a two wheeler loan (purchase of 100 cc Two Wheeler) to a maximum of Rs 30,000/- or 90% of the cost of the vehicle whichever is less. The loan is for 30months. The officer can claim fuel up to 25 liters in a month on production of bills. Officers are eligible for vehicle maintenance of Rs1, 500.00 and for mobile recharge of Rs.300.00 PM on declaration basis.

The officer will be covered under group insurance policy or any other insurance policy which cover accident and hospitalization. The premium should be paid by the employee. The Officer can avail the Bank employee’s quarters with deduction from the salary. They are also entitled to those benefits set by the RBI for all the nationalist bank employees.

The selected candidates should complete the contract which they are recruited for and failing to do so the candidate has to a pay penalty of Rs.50, 000.00 to the bank. The contract is terminable by either of the party. If the contract needs to be terminated either of the party has to give a one month notice period or payment of one month salary during the 1st year of the contract and 2 month notice or 2 month salary after the first year of contract.
